MakerBuddy provides an open-source ESP32 learning platform, a web dashboard, educational and technical resources, project examples and community channels. Features, documentation and availability may change as the project develops.

Different project materials may use different licenses. Firmware and web code are generally published under the GNU General Public License, while PCB design resources may be published under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license. The license file included with each repository or asset controls if this summary differs from it.

You are responsible for complying with attribution, source-distribution, share-alike and notice requirements when using, modifying or distributing those materials.

You agree to:

• Follow the documentation and appropriate electrical safety practices.
• Use a suitable 5 V USB power source and compatible components.
• Supervise learners ages 10 and above appropriately.
• Avoid modifications or loads that create an electrical, thermal or mechanical hazard.
• Respect privacy, security, wireless regulations and other applicable laws.
• Never use MakerBuddy for illegal, harmful, deceptive or malicious activity.

MakerBuddy is designed for education and prototyping. It is not intended for medical, life-critical, safety-critical, industrial-control or security systems where a failure could cause harm.

When participating in MakerBuddy repositories or community channels, be respectful, constructive and relevant. Do not harass others, post spam, publish confidential information, infringe intellectual property or interfere with systems and networks.

MakerBuddy does not directly manufacture or sell every physical kit displayed on this website. Physical products may be produced and sold by authorized partners or independent distributors, including OR97.com in Pakistan.

The seller controls current price, stock, package contents, delivery, warranty, returns, refunds and product support. Review the seller's terms before ordering and direct transaction or physical-product claims to that seller.

To the extent permitted by law, the MakerBuddy open-source project, website, software, designs and documentation are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or uninterrupted and error-free operation.

Open-source materials are not a promise that a self-built or modified device will meet any particular technical, safety or regulatory requirement.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MakerBuddy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages; loss of data, profits, revenue, use or goodwill; or claims arising from a transaction with a third-party seller.

Nothing in these terms excludes a liability that cannot legally be excluded. Product warranties and liabilities that arise from a physical product sale rest with the seller to the extent provided by applicable law and the seller's terms.

The MakerBuddy name, logo, website content and materials not expressly released under an open license remain protected by applicable intellectual-property law.

If you contribute code, designs or documentation, you confirm that you have the right to contribute them and agree they may be distributed under the license associated with the relevant project.

Website and communication data are handled as described in the Privacy Policy. The reference device operates locally and does not require MakerBuddy to collect sensor readings. Your modifications or third-party integrations may change that behavior.

The distributor or seller from whom you purchase a kit exclusively handles its return, refund, exchange, shipping, customs, tracking and delivery process. Inspect the package promptly and follow the seller's published procedure for damage, defects or missing items.

Schools, makerspaces, universities, training programs and other organizations may use MakerBuddy subject to the applicable licenses and these terms. Each organization remains responsible for supervision, safeguarding, procurement, risk assessment and compliance in its environment.

Links to sellers, repositories, social networks or other third-party services are provided for convenience. MakerBuddy does not control and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, privacy practices or terms.

We may update, suspend or discontinue parts of the website, resources or services and may revise these terms. The updated date appears at the top. Continued use after a revision means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.

We may restrict access to community or hosted services for abuse, unlawful activity, security risk or material breach of these terms. Rights already granted under an open-source license remain governed by that license.

These terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The parties should first attempt to resolve a dispute through good-faith discussion and may use mediation, arbitration or a competent court where appropriate and enforceable.

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining terms will continue. These terms, the Privacy Policy and applicable open-source licenses form the agreement concerning the relevant MakerBuddy resources.
